Tools we use
This is a list of the tools we use. A few links are affiliate links, so if you purchase, we might get a small commission at no cost to you. We only ever share what we like and use ourselves.
Software
Font management
We use RightFont to organise and activate all the fonts we’ve acquired. It’s a great way to organise and file your fonts.
Adobe Creative Cloud apps
We use mostly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro through the All Apps plan, plus the huge library of fonts included with any level of Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
Recorded screen-sharing videos
Sometimes we share a link to a Loom video with clients where I’m showing you what I’m doing on my screen. It’s a great way of demonstrating a task to teach others, and because it’s recorded, clients can watch it any time they need to refresh their memory.
Invoicing and income/expense tracking
Xero accounting software. Predictable? Maybe, but it’s pretty good!
Sending files to clients
At the end of a project, we share a Dropbox link of final files if it’s large to email.
Email newsletters
We have tried a few platforms, but giving Flodesk a go currently. It’s a design-friendly platform: easy to set up and has ability to customise beautiful email templates, provides unlimited subscribers on all plans.
